Lean Article

Are you interested in starting to implement the Last Planner System on your project but feel a bit overwhelmed with the whole thing? Does LPS feel like it is an all or nothing system? In the article below I discuss how you can make take small chucks out of the LPS framework to get radical changes on your projects. Last Planner System does not have to be intimidating. Click below to read the article and see how you can start implementing LPS today! Total read time - 8 min.

Lean Podcast

We are going back to back weeks with CM Mentor Podcast as a recommendation for our Lean Podcast. This episode features none other than Adam Hoots. In this LIVE interview the group discusses all things lean construction and takes audience questions. My favorite part of this episode is Adam's response to the question "What piece of advice would you give the next generation of builders?" Total listen time 1 hour 1 min.

Lean Event

Interested in understanding what Target Value Delivery is? This webinar presented by Lean Construction Institute will feature Julie Glassmeyer and will "introduce a repeatable approach to exploring value and empowering your team to optimize the return on investment for the project". Real Life Lean - Lean practices in the real world

You hear it on every construction site - the last 10% of a project is the hardest. The little items fall through the cracks and it becomes harder and harder to close out a project. In the video below we see how an electrical crew shifts from their traditional weekly work planning boards to closeout boards to help nail down the small items and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
